The Orchid
Our fourth gentleman, the orchid is the flower symbolizing the life force of spring. It is often found associated with the rock, bamboo or prunus to symbolize noble friendship between different subjects.
It should be noted that this is to represent the wild orchid that we find hanging on the side of a mountain and not the orchids that we find at our florist.
If you have taken the courses on previous gentlemen you might think painting orchids is easy. Let's get ready for a lesson in modesty.
In fact, you are going to learn several rhythms in the same curve, several brush strokes in the swing of a majestic leaf. Your gesture will therefore have to learn to be at the same time precise, easy and determined.
As for the flower, it will be discreet, as if tangled and barely visible between the leaves. It will be up to you to express all the simplicity with a few brushstrokes.
